Who we are

"Servants of the Lord Ministries"" ist a non-profit Organisation and a non-denominational teaching and training ministry, serving the body of Christ."

The aim of the ministry is to help believers develop their relationship with God by "hearing His voice and obeying Him".

Data protection

In carrying out our day-to-day activities, we process and store personal data relating to our supporters, customers, volunteers and guests and are therefore required to comply with the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998. We take our responsibilities under this Act very seriously and ensure that the personal data we receive is stored, used, transferred and otherwise processed in accordance with this Act.

What personal information do we collect?

Personal data is information that can be used to identify you. It may include your name, date of birth, email address, postal address, telephone number, cell phone number, fax number, bank details and credit / debit card details. We collect personal information about you when you ask about our activities, make a donation to us, register for an event, interact with our social media or message boards, order products and services (such as publications and email newsletters), or otherwise provide us with personal information.

If you do nothing more than read pages or download information from our website, we may collect information about that use, such as which pages are visited most often and which events or activities are most interesting. This information may be used to improve our website and services and to ensure that we provide you with the best service. Wherever possible, the information we use for this purpose is aggregated or anonymized, meaning you will not be identified as an individual visitor to our website. As a general rule, we do not collect sensitive personal information about you unless there is a clear reason to do so, such as participation in an event where we need that information to ensure safety, appropriate volunteer checks, or participant care. At some events, we collect health information so that our event leaders have relevant information for participants. We will make it clear to you when collecting this information what we are collecting and why.

Credit and debit card payment information

We do not use credit or debit cards for donations, to purchase anything or pay online or over the phone.

We do not store your credit or debit card details.

Servants of the Lord Ministries' Resources

If a resource needs to be booked for you for free or for a fee, it will be processed through our UK bank. No payment information is stored in the Servants of Lord Ministries' online store to complete the transaction.

For the shipment of your products, we ensure that we process and handle your data in accordance with the Data Protection Act.

Why do we collect your information and how do we use it?

We may collect your personal information for a number of reasons, such as:

  • to provide you with the services, products or information you request
  • to process any donation(s) we receive from you
  • to ask for your support for our mission, but in accordance with your preferences
  • to provide you with information about our work or activities that you would like to receive
  • to send you the items you have ordered through our website
  • For administrative purposes we may contact you about, for example, a donation you have made or an event you have expressed interest in or signed up for

Under 16 year olds

If you are 16 or younger and would like to attend an event, give a donation, or engage with us, please make sure you have your parent/guardian's permission before sharing your personal information with us. When we collect information about a child or youth, we will make clear the reasons for collecting that information and how it will be used.

Fundraising

We do not participate in fundraising activities.

Storage of your information

Although most of the information we hold and process remains in the UK, some information may be transferred to countries outside the European Economic Area. This may be the case if, for example, it is always appropriate to share that information with one of our ministers who is located in a country outside the EU. These countries may not have similar data protection laws to the UK. However, we will take steps to ensure that your privacy continues to be protected in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

We will keep your information for as long as is necessary to operate our service, but we will not keep your information longer than necessary. We will consider our legal obligations, tax and accounting rules when determining how long we should keep your information. If we no longer need to keep your information, we will ensure that it is disposed of securely in due course.
